Fredericksburg & Chancellorsville Driving Tour

/“Confederate Tide Rising”

On May 28, 2019 we’ll examine two of Robert E. Lee’s greatest victories, Fredericksburg & Chancellorsville, which inspired Lee’s second invasion of the north; the Gettysburg campaign. A local battlefield guide will lead a comprehensive 4-hour tour of each battlefield. Travel with us on a leisurely drive around the battlefields in a comfortable shuttle bus. We’ll make several stops along the way so you may take a closer look, take the best pictures, and stretch your legs. Battlefield maps will be provided so you can follow along. We’ll make a lunch stop (not included) in historic downtown Fredericksburg. There’s an optional after-tour dinner at “Billikens Smokehouse”; located in a historic 1770’s house that witnessed the battle. Limited tickets available. Tour starts at the Fredericksburg Battlefield Visitor Center: 1013 Lafayette Blvd, Fredericksburg.
